§ 82b Trade Regulation Act — the plant inspection.

§ 82b GewO 1994 obliges the holder of an industrial plant requiring a permit to have it inspected at intervals of no more than six years by suitable experts or accredited bodies — unless special inspection regulations apply.

The inspection checks whether the plant complies with the permit and whether the interests under § 74 (2) are still protected. The result must be recorded in writing and kept until the next inspection. If defects are found, the authority must be notified without delay.

This applies to production sites, warehouses, petrol stations, workshops and logistics companies — the obligation begins when the approved plant is put into operation.
