No time limit. The forklift operator card does not expire — a refresher or new exam is not required by law.
The forklift licence is the proof of competence under the Austrian Proof of Competence Ordinance (FK-V). Anyone who has passed the training and exam may operate forklifts in compliance with the law — with no expiry date.
Regardless of this, the company must instruct its drivers regularly under § 14 ASchG: on the specific machine, the local procedures and after accidents or near misses. We recommend once a year.
If the card is lost or damaged, we issue a new one — for € 30 net plus 20 % VAT.
