Members of the Salzburg water rescue service learnt how to handle chains, ropes, lifting slings and loops safely in a BZL course.

In water rescue operations, technical knowledge and compliance with the regulations determine success. The regional association therefore offered a course on load handling attachments and lifting accessories for emergency personnel together with Bildungszentrum Logistik.
Under the direction of Johann Biechl, head of the Salzburg City water rescue station, participants learnt how to handle chains, ropes, lifting straps and slings.
At the end, every participant took a written exam and received the BZL certificate.
