Taking responsibility: BZL receives the ESG certificate

Bildungszentrum Logistik stands for quality in training and for a responsible approach to the environment and resources. This attitude has now been officially confirmed: BZL has received the certificate for ESG status reporting from Green Compliance GmbH & Co KG.

The certificate confirms that the company’s measures and standards comply with the ESG guidelines and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards.

What is behind the certification

The standards are linked to the European Union’s Green Deal — the strategy by which Europe aims to become climate-neutral by 2050. One element of it: companies are to report transparently and comparably on their sustainability performance. There is a simpler version of this for small and medium-sized enterprises.

BZL’s environmental mission statement

For us, environmental protection is not an add-on but part of the work. Five points sum it up:

• Environmental protection as part of our training work. Fuel-efficient driving, the proper handling of hazardous substances and the energy-efficient operation of machines feature in all courses.
• Leading by example: economical energy use, consistent waste separation, low-emission training vehicles and equipment.
• Legal requirements and more. Complying with environmental law goes without saying; where possible, we go beyond it.
• Employees as environmental ambassadors — through training, open communication and shared goals.
• Continuous improvement. Measures are regularly reviewed and developed further.
